ANNUAL MEETING

The Illinois Restaurant Association invites you to attend the 2010 Annual Meeting & Installation of Officers Dinner on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Sikia.  Please join us in welcoming incoming Chairman Everett Rand of Midway Wholesalers, Inc.  The Cocktail Reception begins at 6:00 pm and the Dinner and Program begins at 7:00 pm.  Sikia (Great Hall) is located at 6301 South Halsted Street, Chicago, IL 60621.  Tickets are $80 each; $90 if purchased at the door.  For more information please contact Jean Sheerin at 312.787.4000 x 116 or jsheerin@illinoisrestaurants.org.

CITY OF CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS

CHICAGO GOURMET
The second annual Chicago Gourmet, a weekend festival celebrating Chicago’s impressive food and wine community in Millennium Park, was held September 26-27, 2009.  Chicago Gourmet 2010 will be held September 25-26 in Millennium Park.  Visit www.chicagogourmet.org for more information.

MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE EFFECTIVE 7/1/09
The minumum wage in Illinois increased to $8.00/hour on July 1, 2009. The minimum wage will increase to $8.25 on July 1, 2010.  Click here for information on how to calculate a tip credit and overtime wage. 

COOK COUNTY SALES TAX INCREASE EFFECTIVE 7/1/2008
